Info About Blue Spirulina Selection and Storage

The blue-green algae Blue Spirulina may be found in ponds, lakes, and alkaline streams.Phycocyanin is a blue pigment generated from spirulina that, when extracted, gives the algae its dark blue pigment.

The good news is that, unlike green spirulina, Blue Spirulina does not have a fishy flavor.Protein, vitamins, minerals, carotenoids, and antioxidants abound.

Fresh Spirulina paste should be kept in the refrigerator at 5 – 8 degrees Celsius or below.Dry powder can be stored in a cold, dark area for extended periods of time.

Spirulina is well-known for its outstanding health advantages, which include :

  • Heavy metals and toxins removal – Spirulina can bind to heavy metals in the body and aid in their removal.

  • Protein Source – With so many individuals opting for a vegan or vegetarian diet these days, this algae can be a fantastic way to supplement your protein consumption.

  • Spirulina includes roughly 50-70 percent protein, which may help with weight loss. When taken 30 minutes before a meal, it can help you feel much less hungry, allowing you to feel satisfied for longer and reduce your chances of overindulging.Protein is highly soluble in water, which means that, unlike other protein-rich foods like meat, it may be readily absorbed by your body.

  • Increases Energy and Performance – Spirulina is high in B vitamins, which might help you feel more energized. This will help you increase your training and workout performance, allowing you to burn more fat.Because of its antioxidant concentration, spirulina is helpful in reducing exercise-induced oxidation, which causes muscular exhaustion and the inability to grow muscle.

  • Can aid digestion and bowel health – Spirulina includes chlorophyll, which helps to regulate digestion and support good bacteria in the intestine.
